Yesterday we found some time to work on our garbasail again. We connected all columns vertically and - apart from the top and bottom borders - put everything together with horizontal stripes. And we struggled a lot with the huge amount of bags while doing so:
But then we were able to tame it and switching to another duct tape brand let us making progress faster:
Here a bad try on my part to convey an impression of the amount of bags (just so nobody complains about the imbalance in pictures):
This should convey the impression better:
Not much to tell about the building process apart from that. Next time we'll finish the border and then get to the diagonals on the back. After that we'll tackle the ropes - and how we'll connect them we still don't know. ;)
The first flight we had planned for Sunday has to be cancelled due to bad weather but that just means we'll have more time to finish the garbasail properly.
Oh and: Josh Levine, inventor of the garbasail, sent me an email. Apparently Google was quick indexing my previous entry. Thanks again for the inspiring pictures, Josh! (He updated his website, too, check it out.) We thought: posing in front of the camera? We can do that as well ...
